Boeing delivered the first C-40A - a modified 737-700C airplane - to the U.S. Naval Reserve Fleet's Logistics Support Squadron

The airplane is equipped with a newly developed Ancra cargo loading and restraint system which incorporates many new and innovative components.

The Ancra system provides conveyance and restraint for up to eight (8) 88 x 108 or 88 x 125 standard unit load devices, or may be configured in a combi cargo / passenger arrangement.
